Miami arts all within walking distance of your stay!

There's no doubt that Miami is a fun, happening city.  But sometimes hotspots as busy and eclectic as The Magic City can leave you feeling overwhelmed.  Here's a couple of ideas- all centered around the arts- for your next visit.  And best yet, they're all within walking distance of the hotel!

The Rosenbaum Art Gallery was first founded in 1979 and features works by postwar, modern, & contemporary artists.  The gallery spans mediums and routinely features paintings, photographs, sculptures, drawings, and mixed media.  The best part about the gallery is the design: while maintaining the intimacy of a small space, Rosenbaum boasts museum-level programing.  Past featured big-named artists include Frank Stella, Alexander Calder, and Manolo Valdes.  Currently on view is a show featuring Bill Beckley, Louise Nevelson, Fernando Botero amongst many others.  Take in the beautiful minimalism of Beckley's almost anatomical photographs, visually touch and probe the mysteriously tactile surfaces of Nevelson's painted installations, and wonder at the playfully voluptuous sculptures that Botero is so well celebrated for.

Feeling a little active?  Interested in creating your own kinetic work of art?  Then take the less than 5 minute stroll to Fred Astaire Dance Studio!  The studio teaches over 18 different dances, each taught by their award winning instructors.  Here you can learn to Jive, Mambo, Salsa, and tango!  Are you staying with us a bit longer?  Be sure to take advantage of their introductory package which includes two private 30-minute lessons plus a group lesson.  Or maybe your interested in getting the blood pumping with some basic stretching and movement?  Here too you'll find that with plenty of options!
