Miami Carnaval 2015: The Calle Ocho Festival

The Miami Carnaval is already underway, which means you'll have more ways than usual to sample the local flavors and enjoy exciting entertainment. With this year's theme of "Mambo 2015", guests can explore the city's rich Cuban culture through food, art, music and dance. With the support of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, the annual event has been drawing big crowds for more than 35 years. Find plenty of fun things to see and do - from a golf tournament to a cooking contest and the crowning of Miss Carnaval Miami.
After a month of special attractions and family-friendly activities, the Carnaval finishes up with a flavorful grand finale. Calle Ocho is the renowned Latin Jazz Festival, featuring live bands and lots of local food vendors. Come out to sample authentic cuisines from the best restaurants in Little Havana. Take part in this street party to bask in South Florida's warm-weather winter extravaganza.
Calle Ocho will take place all day on March 15th starting at 10 a.m. Wander around SW 8th Street through 27th Avenue to try foods from all around the world. Chosen as Kings of Carnaval Miami 2015, Chino & Nacho will be the headline act taking the stage. Catch the special performance by this Latin Grammy award-winning duo during the festivities.
