There are few things better than a nice cigar after (or before!) dinner.  That’s right, a cigar and Woodford Reserve straight up.  Luckily, Mike’s Cigars is your go to destination for both the amateur and aficionado alike!  Just down the street from the hotel, this cigar joint has everything you might be looking for from rare cigars to sampler packs for those looking to try a little bit of everything.  Cigar smoking is best when it’s communal, right?  The store hosts monthly events with dinner, craft beer, and cigar highlights! 

The museum got its very first start as a single gallery space known as the Center of Contemporary Art in 1981.  Having taken on an expansion in 1996 the museum now rests at its current location in the heart of North Miami.  The museum acts as a place for discovering new artists, meditating on the works on contemporary visionaries, and learning about our shared cultural horizons.  The permanent collection numbers nearly 600 works from artists as diverse as Dan Flavin, Louise Nevelson, Jose Bedia, Mariko Mori, amongst many others. 

While their permanent collection is impressive, their exhibitions are truly eye catching.  With 8 to 10 different exhibitions annually, there’s always something new every time you come.  Currently on view is the show titled Intersectionality.  This exhibition features artists primarily from South Florida and focuses on issues surrounding, what critical theorists have titled, intersectionality- the ways in which institutions are interconnected and thus cannot be separated from one another.  What this show highlights is integration and how various integrated forces coalesce together within various social contexts. 

Makoto offers sleek, upscale modern Japanese entrees ranging from sushi, kitchen specialties, and robata dishes.  Executive chef Makoto Okuwa brings over 20 years of experience to this high-end restaurant.  There are plenty of seating options here at Makoto, from their large and open dining room, to their electrifying sushi bar, and their two outdoor patios there are several options for your meal setting.

History
As part of Florida's Historic Golf Trail, golf lovers make it a priority to play a round here. Normandy Shores has a fascinating history dating back to 1928 when the original parcel of land was donated to the city. The golf course opened in 1941, but during the World War II years, much of the area was used by the military. It wasn't until 1956 when there was a full redesign of the course to create the world-class facility that it is today. Now it is home to the South Beach International Amateur, one of the most important tournaments on the circuit.

Golf Course Rates
Through the end of the April, a round of golf costs $125 per person. However, starting May 1 through October 31, you can play Normandy Shores for the summer rate of $80. Rates include a golf cart, greens fees, and range balls. Now is the perfect time to start planning your golfing adventure at daddy O Miami. Getting to and from the airport
Uber and Lyft are an easy way to get around Miami, and you can take them right from Miami International Airport (MIA) and Florida-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to our front door. you can also just catch taxis outside the lower arrival levels in both airports. From MIA taxis charge a flat rate, while taxicabs from FLL turn on the meter to calculate your fare.

Music in Miami

Soon afterwards, the first hotels started popping up along the coast. The neighborhood was transformed forever when the Bal Harbour Shops opened in 1965. In recent decades, Bal Harbour has undergone even more upscale development that has added even more appeal to this luxe destination. • Know the dates. Hurricane season Florida dates are June 1 through November 30.
